09.16.09 New Studio, New Printer!

Hi everyone! No update in a while - but we have a good excuse! We are so pleased to announce that we have officially moved into our new studio that we built ourselves from a converted, old garage! The whole studio is designed to be as energy-efficient as possible, taking advantage of the good weather we are so lucky to have here. Large windows and ceiling fans take the place of energy-consuming air conditioning units, and efficient flourescent lighting fixtures provide a great alternative to traditional incandesent lighting. All of our furnishings were bought from thrift stores or repurposed from various sources including the door to the studio, which is from the 1930's! What a great place to build eco-friendly books...

Additionally, we have just upgraded our printing setup. Our printer is now considered the best inkjet technology in the world and is Epson's current top-of-the-line model. It uses 11 (!) ink cartridges and produces an amazingly vivid picture. If you thought our print quality was good before, just wait until you see the new stuff! Additionally, the printer is more than 5 times faster to print than our last setup, so turnaround times will be decreasing and print quality will be increasing! We are so excited to finally be fully setup and ready to take the business to the next level! Thanks for everyone's patience while we got things going!

04.07.09 Stehlik Photography - One happy client!

Nothing makes us happier here at Wild Magnolia Design than a happy client. Last week we put together a Willow album for Pavel and Jessie Stehlik of Stehlik Photography in Ruskin, Florida. Stehlik's clean design style and colorful photographs meshed beautifully with the textured watercolor pages! Old World Bags also did their part in putting together an exceptional reclaimed leather bag reminiscent of the back of a wedding dress. Additionally, Stehlik Photography's commitment to becoming a leader in eco-friendly wedding photography as well as concerned members of their community is inspiring. 03.18.09 Open for business!

Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to thank many of you for your patience as we slowly get our website up and running. After almost a year of development, I cannot tell you how excited I am to share with you our new products that I hope will help the photography world to become a little greener. We have been getting so much positive response already! I plan to update here regularly as new options become available and as I find exciting green things to share.
